Why put all the focus on layering around our core yet miss an opportunity to lock in heat around the lower half of our body? A sustainable reimagining of our best-selling ultralight down jacket, the Ghost Whisperer™ Short was designed for ski mountaineers who need to maximize warmth without interfering with what keeps them strapped to their skates. With the same level of insulation in a shorter hem, they layer effectively under ski pants and even pack into its own pocket after you take them off.

avoid cold butt
I run all winter in interior alaska, these are great for stopping cold butt. I wear these running over some fleece pants. I bought them a size big so I can put them over several layers.

Exactly what I wanted
I bought a pair from REI and wear them hiking in winter. I've taken them up to Mt. Shasta, Mt. Whitney, White Mountain, etc. They keep my butt warm at camp, and in cold mornings before / when I start hiking and I take them off only when I get too hot during the day.
